Miss Media

Sarah earned her Miss Media patch!
To the back of her vest it will attach.
Yep, I'm jealous too -
Of all the things she gets to do!

Helping out with Forever Green.
Doing her part to keep Earth clean.
Sarah was the leader of the pre-teens.

Being on camera - that's no sweat!
Promoting safety on the internet.

Tales of Spring

Do you have some time to spare

To read of times gone by?

Adventures that we meant to share.

Before the time did fly.

Join us as we strike and sing.

Par-tay and present.

Keeping busy in the spring,

Laughing and content.

Easter Buds

I'm just a Bunny Spud.
My eyes have turned to ears.
I fill the Easter bags
With french fries every year.

I'm just a little chick
With frosting on my face.
Mom, snap my picture quick.
Send Easter greetings far.

I'm just a birthday boy
Born on Easter day.
I'm very sweet you know.
Oh man, my wife will pay!

Oh to Conference I Go - Part II

A new day brings more words of praise.
On to the talks of the Sabbath day's:

Elder Uchtdorf got to say
To all God shows the way.
But I really liked it when
The apostle just put in.
Said "I'm a no-body".
(His name will come to me!)

Keep eternal perspective go'in
counseled Elder Steven Snow.
Sister Thompson wants us to know:
Christ has the po'wr to save.
Elder Holland's words rang true .
Christ is always there for you.
The talk the prophet gave
It made me feel "cheer"!
With faith I will not fear.

(The apostle's Elder Andersen.
I knew his name would come.
But boy, I feel dumb.)

A break for lunch.
On subs we munch.
And then we take a rest.
One more session and it's done.
This conference is the best!

Elder Oaks begins and says to me:
Please, serve unselfishly.
Go to the temple without fail
Elder Bednar: I will.
Elder Stevenson the 70
Asked the same of me.

Elder Teixeira's name's hard to say.
But I understood him anyway.
There's no need to fall astray.
God's gifts will help to lead the way.

Elder Watson, I think I got it!
The Lord speaks through his prophet.
Now on to L. Tom Perry,
"You are the missionary!"

The prophet closed the con'frence.
His words were quite intense.
No sitting on the fence!
Come to the Lord's defence.

I think this rhyme has helped me
Although it's really long.
Dare I try to turn it
Into a con'frence song?

Oh to Conference I Go - Part I

If you are anything like me,
I'm as forgetful as can be.
General Conference was divine.
A spiritual feast on which to dine.
But, alas, the talks I have forgot.
A very bad mem'ry is my lot.
But here's a rhyme - a litte trick-
To help the Con-frence message stick.

Saturday morning is the place to start
The Prophet, he welcomed with gentle heart.
The missions are now 3 forty eight.
The PEF is simply great!
Elder Hales said, "Live providently."
Spiritual providers we must be.
Sister Liffereth taught rev'rence too.
Please, show respect in all you do.
Forward in faith, con-fi-dence and virtue,
Elder Neider reminded the youth what to do.

Elder Packer from the Seventy
finds strength in trying times.
Inspiration is the key.
He who prays truly climbs.

Elder Christofferson stressed covenants.
Elder Eyring's words made perfect sense.
Adversity is common to all the gents.

Learn from the lessons of the past
Said Elder Ballard in the afternoon.
Elder Cook's talk went by really fast.
Follow the plan and stay in tune.

Elder Pearson counciled live in faith not fear.
Elder Pino held my lis'ng ear!
Live the gospel in adversity -
That's his message for you and me.

Go to the temple counseled Elder Scott.
From the The Lord's Prayers Elder Nelson taught.

Dancing through life

What a WICKED show!!!
We're so glad we could go.
What an awesome story of love and sisterhood.
We'd see it again and again if we could.

Woo-hoo!!! The Wicked Witch really isn't dead.
Now to get these songs out of our head .....

Welcome Lily!

The 2 AM feedings,
The crying, the needing...
But we're doing it once more.
Yep, we're crazy for sure!
And now without final adieu.....
We introduce our girl to you.

Hi everybody! I'm Lily the Kitty.
I'm sweet and I'm soft and boy, am I pretty!
I'm four weeks old or so I've been told.
My mom didn't want me.
But that's alright, I'm still happy.

No, I don't think my dad is the Cat in the Hat
I can't help but rhyme all the time when I chat.
I wanted to say something else but forgot!
I remember now! I like my fam'ly a lot :)

Pitterpat..Pitterpat...for Heyborne

Elvis made the girls all swoon.
Davy Jones sent Marsha over the moon.
Paul and Ringo stole some hearts.
Conrad Birdy's pic took all the guys' darts.
But as you can see,
For me....it's Kirby!

Watching him in concert got me 'All Shook Up'......00000000000!

Thank you 'Girl' (aka Debra Fotheringham) for singing his latest hit too!
'All You Need is Love' and the chance to see Kirby sing live to be happy.
So, forget that 'One Last Kiss' & run to the store to get your copy
of his latest CD, The Elm Tree.
