Auf Wiedersehen 2008

It's hard to believe that this year is done!
Chalked full of times both peaceful and fun.
But before 08 is through -
We've got one more thing to do........
One final blog with some pics to enjoy!
Can you tell that our holidays were filled with great joy?

1 2 3 ...... More Figgy Pudding for Me.

Santa is very real as one can see from the look on this SEAL.

For our Christmas wish, we grew gills and turned into fish.

Our moms made us take this cute cousin pic -
But boy this next one is sick!!! :)

Guts of the Holiday Card

Minus the green ink, ribbon and bows
Here's the nitty gritty of our card as follows:

The Müllers were arrested by yours truly, Mister Grinch.
I had no other choice. Their cheer caused Scrooge to flinch!
They bribed the guards with sugarplums
And fruitcake without the rum.
I cannot say more clearly: Have you seen the carolin’ scum?
A hundred pounds of coal I’ll give to you or anyone
Who shares with me the whereabouts of this fam’ly on the run.
If you chance to see them, I warn you stay away!!!
They’re sure to come attack you with their candy cane bouquet!

The Cat in the Box

Today our silly and lovable cat passed away.
In his honor, we dedicate this blog.

L is for the laughter you gave us. We'll never forget how you barked like a dog!
U is for the unforgettable smile you shared with us each day.
P is for your playfulness. Grabbing us on the step as you lay.
I is for the imaginative ways you found to get in trouble.
N is for your natural curiosity - playing with houseflies and popping bubbles.

We brought you home on Christmas Eve in a borrowed Build A Bear box
A silly cat who nibbled on Daddy's stinky socks.
You ran to greet the visitors who came to our abode.
When we went to catch the school bus, you followed us down the road.
You even tried to eat a book we left upon the floor.
You brought us mice and birdies - life with you was no bore!

The last three years with you were crazy but really, really great!
Goodbye - we'll see you later - our tabby orange mate. :)

We All Scream for Ice Cream

To celebrate Dad's chillin' new occupation,
We choose to subscribe to an ice cream sensation.
The six of us went to the store down the street
And bought different flavors for a F.H.E treat.
We were thinking that pints would be just the right thing -
But turn down a sale - No! That's just mean!
So Dad got the Bear Attack - care-a-mel and cashew.
Mom got the Cheesecake full of berries so blue.
Sarah found the Mint Chocolate Chip a delight.
April's Cookies 'N Creme was way outta sight!
Care-a-mel Stampede was chosen by Emma.
One scoop or two proved to her a dilemma!
Don't forget smiling Liesl - her choice made her merry.
The creme de la creme was for her - Strawberry.
After all of that sugar our dreams are sure to be-
Visions of carrots and oh! brocc-o-li.

Help me please! Can you say Brain Freeze?
