I can hardly believe it. I'm such a geek!
Two blog posts in less than a week.
Yesterday we had a whale of a time
Performing in a festival of rhyme.
The affair was for "Zoo'etry"
Where E & A read poems from mem-ory.
"There Was An Old Woman" was April's choice.
She brought down the house with her cute little voice.
She wiggled and jiggled and opened her throat
While her big sister, Emma, shared a poem she had wrote.
They each got some prizes - they raved they were cool.
They have lots of fun when they hang with their school.
Emma's verse we give you for free.
Inspired by a story from Granny Bee.

The Dishes in the Sink
It was my turn to wash the dishes again,
and Daisy’s turn to dry.
I couldn’t understand it when
the pile was still so high!
I washed and washed and washed some more
but still it multiplied!
I wondered why the stacks just grew -
To one hundred and twenty two!
Were fairies coming through the door,
leaving dishes at my side?
Were monkeys swinging through the trees,
tossing plates at my knees?
Then out of the corner of my eye
I saw the person! “Oh my!”
Not a fairy or a monkey
but my little sister Daisy.
She thought she’d play a little trick.
Boy she was so slick!
Putting dishes back in the stack,
She almost gave me a heart attack!

Let's try this again shall we?
I love Emma's poem, it makes me giggle.
I bet April did AMAZING.
Granny Bee makes me jealous. She looks perfect.
