Manna on A Stick

For our Ward Talent Show ,
we sung the Corn Dog song by Ryan Shupe.
Then in the middle we added this little something
Sung to Elvis' s Hound Dog, ya'know.

"Ain't want nothin' but a corn dog -
Fry-in' all the time.
Ain't want nothin' but a corn dog -
I get one every time.
Well, if you've never had a corn dog,
Then you ain't no friend of mine!"

Saturday's gig was inspired by this speech Emma wrote in school.
Even though it's not in rhyme, we still think its pretty cool.

"Imagine if every time you ate a corn dog you were being a better American. I have a dream that corn dogs will become the official food of the U.S.A. Imagine how cool it would be to eat what they eat in the White House. Corn dogs are easy to bake, and they taste delicious! They are easy for mothers and fathers with young kids to bake in a short amount of time. The easiest way to cook a corn dog is to pop one of the frozen ones into the microwave. A corn dog doesn't really have corn in it. So if you don't like vegetables, they're the food for you! A corn dog is a hot dog on a stick wrapped in bread. They are good warm, cold, with condiments, or just plain. You don't even have to use dishes! I have a dream that corn dogs will be the official food of this country. Even Uncle Sam likes them!"

Thanks Emma and a huge shout out to Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband.
We think these guys are great. Buy their CDs. They're grand!

Ha HAAAA! That's awesome! I love the Ryan Shupe corndog song, too.

In fact, I had a corndog for lunch today... I guess that makes me a true American!
